Joe Exotic, the sheriff of Swindon, England who was facing 19 charges of sexual misconduct with a child filed a long-form response to his case. CNN’s Sara Sidner has the full report.

• On a sheet of sheets, the defendant released a 107-page long argument for his innocence and for his full innocence. “It was not a case of sexual assault or grooming, it was a case of me meeting a young girl by chance who looked like one of my girls,” Exotic wrote. “I had a good relationship with my daughters, and felt she would have been safe with me as I cared for her.” He goes on to add, “This was not a lie or hoax as we have evidence to support this, it was not a great party either, as many people will not believe that I could ever have a great party. They will believe it was all one big lie. This is not true.”

• His attorney Tom Trevelyan released on Friday that Exotic asked to be tried in his home country of the United States.

• Trevelyan says Exotic has written 16 times to President Donald Trump asking him to pardon his client, which he got back. Trevelyan said he’s never seen this type of response to a plea.
